On Monday Nov 21, an international project on Mobile Digital Storytelling and Mobile Library Services took off at the Växjö City Library, with Marcelo Milrad & Susanna Nordmark, as CeLeKT representatives. The visitors from SouthAfrica will together with their Swedish colleagues collaboratively create, process, publish and share mobile digital stories for inspiration and insights into what mobile technologies can support and signify.
The project activities continues throughout the week, ending with story presentations, reflection and evaluation on Friday, Nov 25. A new round of trials will take place in February next year, while the Swedish representatives from Växjö City and CeLeKT will visit South Africa.

The Linnaeus Academy Research Foundation's prize of 35 000 SEK for the best doctoral thesis in 2011 has been awarded Daniel Spikol, lecturer in Media Technology at the School of Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics. The Foundation states: "For his commitment to promoting new ways to support learning and teaching with the help of mobile technology. Daniel Spikol's thesis in computer science argues that design can facilitate learning. To develop strategies for, create and use a design tool kit may break old habits and provide innovative teaching efforts at all levels." Daniel Spikol's thesis is entitled "A Design Toolkit for Emerging Learning Landscapes Supported by Ubiquitous Computing" and was presented in November last year.

Every second year the Swedish Natural Science and Technology biennial takes place in different cities. This year the event was carried out in Halmstad and more than 300 elementary school teachers attended.
The Science Center to Go was presented as a part of an interactive workshop with more than 25 participants. Three of the 5 miniatures AR exhibits were presented, namely those illustrating the mini-wing, the Doppler effect and the Boltzman´s constant experiments. We got a lot of valuable feedback from the participants that will help us to improve our future work. The picture below shows one of the participants interacting with the exhibit:
